NNAAC Leadership Institute

The National Network for Arab American Communities will convene our 27 member organizations from across 11 states in the US for our next Leadership Institute. The institute provides a space to continue to develop key skills for our members, furthering our ability to serve our communities. The trainings offered will be pivotal for our members to be able to meet the challenges posed to Arab American non-profits today.

On November 16, the Institute will be open to members of the general public who are interested in expanding their knowledge and developing their leadership skills. Tickets are $100.

The gathering will be held at The Arab American Cultural & Community Center at 10555 Stancliff Rd. Houston, TX 77099.

Workshop

Spend a morning with the Arab American National Museum, roll up your sleeves and get ready to paint and be creative! AANM is excited to welcome back artist Helen Zughaib, who will lead us through a 2-hour workshop focused on storytelling, the journey of leaving ones home and the designing of your own personal shoe. The workshop is designed for youth to develop empathy for relatability for those who have to leave their home.

This event is free, and recommended for ages 7 and up.

For any questions, please contact the curator of education, Dave Serio at dserio@accesscommunity.org or 313.429.2546.
