My Aqal: Banned & Blessed Home

AANM invites you to create your own traditional Somali home, called an aqal.  The workshop, led by Ifrah Mansour, a Somali artist and refugee based in Minneapolis, will teach guests about Somali nomadic culture and knowledge on how to create mini aqals. 

The workshop, "My Aqal: Banned and Bless Home" is a part of the Arab Film Festival (AFF).  AFF takes place June 1 - June 10.  For more information about AFF, please click HERE  

The workshop will take place on Saturday, June 2nd from 11am - 4pm.
